The course is certified by Athletics Alberta and Athletics Canada and can be used as a qualifier for the Boston Marathon. For more information on qualifying for Boston, check out the BAA&#8217;s website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baa.org\/races\/boston-marathon\/qualify\" data-outlook-id=\"b1bf9cc3-45e6-4ed2-b8db-c8cfb61d67c7\" data-linkindex=\"1\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Calgary is also a qualifier for the Abbott World Marathon Majors Wanda Age Group World Rankings. Age groupers running Calgary can earn points towards the next round of World Championships. The AbbottWMM Wanda Age Group World Rankings comprise over 350 qualifying races (including Calgary!) in which athletes in nine separate age groups can compete in\u202fmarathons across the world to earn a global ranking.
