For over 80 years, the Canadian Ski Patrol has been an active partner in the snow sliding industry. The Gatineau Zone promotes safety and accident prevention at nine local ski areas: Camp Fortune, Le Sommet Edelweiss, Mont-Cascades, Mont Chilly, Mount Martin, Mont–Ste-Marie, Nakkertok, Pakenham, and Centre Vorlage.

As premier providers of First Aid Services, our 350+ volunteer patrollers receive significant training and certification as Advanced Care First Responders (CPR/AED/HCP).

We’re also active beyond winter by providing Advanced First Aid Services at close to 100 special events annually, such as the Ottawa Race Weekend, Dragon Boat Festival, Escapade, Bluesfest, CityFolk Fest, The Army Run, and events at TD Place such as Redblacks games, Atletico FC matches and concerts. Canada’s 150th anniversary gave us the chance to provide first aid at extra special events such as the Red Bull Crashed Ice World Championship, La Machine, the 105th CFL Grey Cup Game and the NHL100 Classic Game.

Becoming a patroller trained in Advanced First Aid is an opportunity to acquire a very unique life skill that can be used at a moment’s notice – on family, friends, or even strangers. Knowing what to do when someone is injured can literally save a life!
