2020 Canadian Ski Patrol national conference to be virtual; shifted to September due to COVID-19

The Canadian Ski Patrol 2020 national conference that was to have been held in Calgary in June, will now be held virtually in September. The change was prompted by concerns for the safety of delegates arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Originally, the conference had been planned for June 4 to 7, 2020, at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Downtown.  Usually, the conference sees attendees from zones and divisions across Canada meet to discuss developments and challenges in patrolling and running the organization, to develop policy and to elect board of directors leadership. The event also includes the annual awards event, in which distinguished members of the CSP are recognized for their contributions and accomplishments.

Planning for the 2020 CSP annual general meeting and election of officers is currently underway, led by the board of directors and the national management committee. Atendance and voting will take place electronically.
