Planning for the 2019-2020 winter season
The executive of the CSP Mountain Division will be meeting in Calgary on September 21 to discuss plans and arrangements for the coming 2019-2020 winter.
Attendees will include the presidents of the division’s 11 zones, and the division executive members including president Mike Palamarek, the vice-presidents and several coordinators.
At the meeting the zone presidents will provide updates about activities and challenges in their areas, and division executive members will provide briefings on developments in their portfolios, which include finance, operations, training and development, and others. Palamarek along with national board member Anne Haley-Callahan will provide an update on national developments.
The leadership of the CSP Mountain Division meet formally at least twice a year, with the annual meeting and conference held in mid June in Edmonton, and the fall meeting held in late September or early October each year in Calgary. The executive may also meet during the skills competition (held in 2020 on March 14 and 15) and most executive members attend an awards meeting in April of May.
Executive members hail from across the division, with VP of Safety Ken Howard from Whitehorse, Yukon and On Snow Coordinator Lance Barclay from Lethbridge, and other members from many points in between, including Calgary, Edmonton, Drayton Valley and Slave Lake.
