The CSP Mountain Division is tremendously excited and pleased to release details and registration information for the 2022 Canadian Ski Patrol Mountain Division Ski Improvement Clinic at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort.
The venue is amazing, the instruction is superb, and the social atmosphere is unmatched. This event, now into at least its fourth decade, has attracted hundreds of satisfied CSP members ad their friends and family from across Canada and around the world.
In keeping with evolution of the program over the past few years, two clinic weeks are being offered in 2022:
- Week 1, January 23 to 28, 2022.
- Week 2: February 6 to 11, 2022.
Full event details and registration information can be found here. For those searching for an online form, there isn’t one. Attendees’ contact information will be gathered during the payment and registration process.
The program includes four days of group lessons in either skiing or snowboarding, five days of lift access and a celebratory banquet on the Thursday night, all at the world-class venue of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Attendees receive group ski or snowboard instruction for more than 20 hours across four days, in groups of comparable competency to optimize learning. There’s a full and fun social agenda, and attendees also have access to great discounts on food, retail goods, fine dining, and many other offerings. This event is a blast.
Pricing is incredibly competitive, with the full program package of lifts, lessons and the banquet coming in at a very reasonable $611. It’s a one-per-cent increase from 2021 to reflect higher supplier costs. Pricing for accommodation (booked separately) is unchanged from that offered for the 2021, making this an incredible bargain.
Regrettably, the 2021 clinic had to be cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions. Although COVID-19 concerns are expected to have abated considerably by 2022 (let’s hope!), the 2022 event will adhere to contemporary B.C. Ministry of Health guidelines and requirements.
Please make sure to book early to take advantage of this great event that brings patrollers, their friends, and their families together from across Canada for some superb instruction at an amazing mountain amid a terrific social atmosphere. This event sold out in 2015, 2016 and 2017 when it was a single-week offering. Both weeks reached sell-out levels in 2020 and 2021. Register early to avoid disappointment.
