Dear division presidents and zone presidents:

We are pleased to announce the selection of Tom Tull as Vice-President of Business Operations. Tom was selected through a formal interview process involving two former board members and myself. Thanks to all the candidates who put their names forward for this important role.

Some of you may know Tom from his days as Pacific South Division President. A long-time CSP member, Tom has consistently demonstrated a forward-looking perspective and has been a key advocate for change. In recent years, he initiated, developed and delivered an extended protocols program (for pain management) that is now in use in selected destination resorts in British Columbia.

The Business Operations portfolio has oversight of key administrative and financial management functions, and has an important voice around the management committee table. It is good to fill the vacancy. The portfolio will benefit from Tom’s leadership and his mentoring of those around him. Tom will formally start in the role at the beginning of January.

On a separate note, we have mixed feelings as we announce that Micheline DesLauriers will be retiring at the end of December. Micheline has been a dedicated member of the national office staff for 19 years, and we will be sad to see her leave. Joanne Lord who has worked as a part-time fundraising coordinator will move in to a full-time position combining her fundraising work and Micheline’s administrative responsibilities.

Please join me in welcoming Tom to the management committee and Joanne to the national office team, and wishing Micheline all the best in her retirement.

Kind regards,

Colin Saravanamuttoo

President and Chief Executive Officer
