Members of CSP Red Deer Zone in central Alberta will be supporting the 2019 Canada Winter Games in February and early March 2019, and they are canvassing their colleagues elsewhere to invite them to come and help.

The games, which involve young people competing in a wide variety of team and individual sports, will be held in and around Red Deer from February 15 to March 3, 2019. Athletes that excel at the Canada Winter Games often go on to be seen at the Commonwealth Games and the Olympics.

The games will feature more than 150 events in 19 sports. Among them are alpine and para alpine skiing, freestyle skiing, cross country skiing, and biathlon.

The CSP has been strongly represented at past Canada Winter Games, including the 2015 games held in Prince George, B.C; the 2011 games, held in Halifax, Nova Scotia; and the 2007 games in Whitehorse, Yukon. You can have a fantastic experience getting to know and patrolling alongside patrollers from across Canada.
