August 1, 2019

Dear zone presidents and division presidents,

At the national conference this spring the zone presidents expressed their wishes to receive regular updates on the activities of the NMC, the National Board of Directors and the CEO. Those groups meet informally by-weekly using a scrum meeting format to remain dynamic, agile and responsive to change. It was felt that a quarterly update of the activities resulting from those meetings should be shared with the Zone Presidents in a more formal meeting.

These meetings will take place on following dates:

  • Tuesday, August 13, 2019 8:00 p.m. EST
  • Tuesday, November 12, 2019 8:00 p.m. EST
  • Tuesday, February 11, 2020 8:00 p.m. EST
  • Tuesday, May 12, 2020 8:00 p.m. EST

The meeting will be approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes long and will include an update from each VP, the financial oversite committee, the board of directors and the CEO. There will be time for Q&A at the end of each report and the end of the meeting. The updates will be on activities since the last joint meeting and plans for the immediate future.

There will be a written report from all the presenters circulated prior to the meeting. If there is a topic not included in the reports, please email the VP Patrol Operations prior to the meeting so that that area can be addressed during the meeting.

This will be an online meeting. One week prior to the meeting the teleconference coordinates and call–in numbers will be sent via Need to Know to all zone presidents and division presidents. Video will be restricted to the presenter or to share the presenter’s screen. It would be helpful if those that are not familiar with Skype and Skype for Business would take the time to become familiar with opening it, muting and unmuting, turning on and off their video and using instant messenger for the chair to receive questions during presentations.

Please direct any questions to Tom Carr, VP Patrol Operations (tom.carr@skipatrol.ca)
