Please note the following with respect to the ordering process for the national uniform and name badges.
National alpine and Nordic uniforms
Avalanche (Mode Avalanche Ltd) will be the supplier of the national uniform again this season. The process for ordering alpine and Nordic jackets will remain the same, with the orders forwarded to Michele Doherty at the national office for processing (michele.doherty@skipatrol.ca). The non-insulated alpine jacket is $255 while the insulated alpine jacket is $275 and the Nordic jacket is 225 for sizes up to XXL. The zone is responsible for taxes and shipping and handling fees.

Name badge ordering
Name badges will be ordered by the national office, for distribution to the zones, on November 15, 2019 and again on January 15, 2020. Our supplier has a four-week production time based on their current workload, therefore in order for zones to have them by Christmas, we will be placing the order on November 15 without delay.
The badges cost $7.50 per unit, and the order form is available here (Microsoft Excel). Please do not alter the format of the form, and return it to the national office in the Microsoft Excel format. The process used by the manufacturer to set up the order is delayed when the form is sent in as a PDF or other format.
The alternate style name badge (45mm x 45mm) can be worn on a vest if the garment does not have the regular name badge Velcro already applied, or to do so would damage the garment. The alternate name badge in this case is best worn on the front pocket flap (Patagonia vest) or below the black fabric on the shoulder (an off-the-rack Mountain Uniform vest).
Zone Presidents are reminded that a quantity of blank name badges should be on hand at each area. The blank badges are meant to be a temporary solution to allow a member to patrol while their individual name badge is on order. They also allow new members to begin patrolling while waiting for the order to arrive. No member should be on duty in the national uniform without a name badge on the jacket or vest.
