In partnership with Helly Hansen, the CSP is proud to support the second annual International Ski Patrol Day this February 10. Here are few fun and exciting updates.

In-store recruitment and fundraising efforts

Once again, there will be mannequins dressed in CSP uniforms in five HH retail boutiques:

  • Both Whistler, B.C. shops.
  • Granville Street shop in Vancouver, B.C..
  • The Banff, Alberta shop
  • The Mont Tremblant, Quebec shop

In addition, we will also have signage encouraging the public to scan a QR code and learn more about how to join the CSP.

In tandem with International Ski Patrol Day, from February 9 to 11, 2023, HH Canada will donate five per cent of its in-store and e-commerce sales to the CSP. Last year, this initiative raised more than $4,000. Please encourage your friends and family to purchase on the Helly Hansen Canada website during these days, knowing that every purchase helps the CSP.

Niagara Falls lighting up in red and white, and blue and yellow on February 10

Thanks to the efforts of our national team, visitors to Niagara Falls on February 10 will see it lit in our current national colours, red and white and our legacy colours, blue and yellow, in honour of International Ski Patrol Day for 15 minutes at approximately 10 p.m. If you can’t visit Niagara Falls that night, you can view the light show here.

NOTE: Illumination times are approximate and subject to change according to light conditions.

Some simple things we can do between now and February 10

For our many social media-savvy patrollers, here are a few tips to help share the excitement:

Say thanks:

  • On your social channels, use #skipatrolday when talking about ISPD in the lead-up to and on the day
  • Share a live, behind-the-scenes look at your patrol team, highlighting why your patrollers love being a ski patroller
  • Encourage your followers to share their message of thanks, tagging you and #skipatrolday on the day
