By Mark Brown, Co-executive Director (mark.brown@skipatrol.ca)
Like any business, the Canadian Ski Patrol must deal with contracts and matters that require professional legal advice. For many years, Jean-Marc Ferland, Life Member No. 71, has been working for us pro bono, with a small committee of fellow professionals to advise the board of directors on various legal matters. Jean-Marc would like to add knowledgeable people to this committee.
Members of the committee will be asked to provide advice and recommendations to the board of directors on various matters as well as providing advice to the co-executive directors on drafting contracts and agreements, bylaw revisions and other routine matters – and maybe some not so routine.
If you are a lawyer or paralegal, licensed in your own province to practice and have some time to help the CSP, we would like to hear from you. Please send your resume to either Jean Rioux (jean.rioux@skipatrol.ca) or Mark Brown (mark.brown@skipatrol.ca) who will forward it to Jean-Marc. We look forward to having you on the team.
