As a member of the Canadian Ski Patrol, throughout the year you will receive email communications from the national organization.

This article is to help everyone understand:

  • What email communications are sent.
  • The purpose of each email.
  • Where you can find past articles and emails for reference.

What’s the difference between the emails we receive?

Currently, CSP National sends out the following emails:

  1. 5/5 Newsletter – issued in English and French, to the entire membership.
    1. The content of this email is a collection of operational and special interest articles.
    2. Each article has a teaser, with a “read more” button to take the member to the full article.
    3. Emailed around the 15th of each month.
  2. Patrol Bulletin – issued in English and French, to the entire membership.
    1. The content of these emails is generally of an operational nature and might be time-sensitive in nature.
    2. The full article is in the body of the email.
    3. Emailed as needed.
  3. Need To Know – issued in English and French, typically to a select group from the membership.
    1. The content of these emails is generally of an operational nature and they are targeted to division and zone executive members and at times patrol leaders.
    2. Emailed as needed.

Past monthly newsletter articles are archived here (member login is required).

We have them segmented in the top navigation under “Member News” and “Patrol Bulletins.”

Zone and division presidents looking for past Need to Knows*

Past Need to Know emails are archived in a file that lives in the following locations in MS365:

  • National Management Committee team/Division Presidents Committee channel/Need to Know – À Savoir.
  • Zone Presidents team/General channel/Need to Know – À Savoir.

You’ll find links to the web version of the English and French emails in this master Word Doc file. This file gets updated as new Need to Know emails are sent out.

*Need to Know articles are not archived on the skipatrol.ca/newsletter page of the member website and are only accessible to zone and division executive members with access to MS365.
