A heartfelt farewell from Stéphane Niles
After nearly three and a half years as chairperson of the board of directors, Stéphane Niles is stepping down from his role, with deep gratitude for all CSP members, volunteers, and leaders.
Stéphane continues as a board director until his term is completed at the 2025 annual general meeting of the members this coming September.
Stéphane appreciates the dedication, professionalism, and passion of the CSP community, and emphasizes that the members are the heart and soul of the organization.
He also lauds the collaborative efforts of the national management committee, numerous board committees, and his fellow board directors, whose commitment has ensured CSP’s ongoing success and growth.
Director role changes
The board of directors are excited to announce that board director Sam Morcos will be the new board chair. Sam’s leadership experience, energy, and commitment to CSP’s mission will further enhance our current momentum towards organizational transformation.
As well, director Jenn Delaney will step into the role of vice-chair, while director Anick Vaillancourt remains board secretary and director Amy Scullion maintains the role of director-at-large.
A huge thanks goes to outgoing board director Don Silverman who will be finishing up his final months of his six-year tenure on the board.
What’s next?
While many members are shifting to non-skiing events or hanging up their CSP coat until they start preparing for their AFA requalification in the fall, the board will continue to actively work with the co-executive directors and members of the national management committee through the coming months.
