Registrations for the 2026 CSP Mountain Division Ski Improvement Clinic are setting a record pace, with patrollers, their friends and family from across Canada piling into the three clinic weeks in January and February at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in Golden, B.C.

Even with added capacity, Week 3 sold out within weeks of registrations opening on May 28. As of June 30, Week 2 is 70 per cent full. Week 1 is still wide open.

  • Week 1 will be January 18 to January 23, 2026. Registrations are wide open.
  • Week 2 will be February 1 to 6, 2026. This week is filling quickly.
  • Week 3 will be February 22 to February 27, 2026. This week is sold out.

Don’t miss it. The venue is amazing, the instruction is superb, and the social atmosphere is unmatched. This event has sold out since at least 2015 and has grown to three clinic weeks from one. Now, those three weeks sell out.

The 2026 clinics mark 50 years of Ski Improvement for the CSP Mountain Division; the first clinic was held in 1977.

The event program includes four days of group lessons in either skiing or snowboarding, five days of lift access and a celebratory banquet on the Thursday night, all at the world-class venue of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. There is pricing available for youth (13 to 17) and children (6 to 12), and additional one-day lift tickets available for adults, youth and children.

This clinic is aimed at CSP members, along with friends and family.

Attendees receive group ski or snowboard instruction for more than 20 hours across four days (Monday to Thursday), in groups of similar competencies to optimize learning. Thursday night is a highlight wrap-up banquet, with a day of unprogrammed skiing on Friday.

The event includes a full and fun social agenda, and attendees have access to great discounts on food, retail goods and many other offerings. Also, there is awesome swag! This event is a blast.

We are working on some special features to mark the 50-year milestone.

Pricing is very competitive, with the full program package of lifts, lessons and the banquet coming in at a very reasonable $750 for adults. Pricing for accommodation (booked separately) varies according to room type and location.

Event and registration information can be found on the CSP Mountain Division website, at https://www.skipatrol.ca/mountain/ski-improvement-clinic/.

Don’t delay booking to take advantage of this great event. This event has been organized by volunteers and offered at cost by the CSP Mountain Division for five decades, providing top-level ski and snowboard skills improvement in a relaxed, convivial environment focused on learning and enjoyment.
