The Canadian Ski Patrol is excited to announce a new member contest made possible through our partnership with Carv, the world’s leading digital ski coach. From November 15, 2025, to March 20, 2026, patrollers across the country can enter for a chance to win an incredible prize that brings cutting-edge technology straight to the slopes.

At the heart of this contest is Carv’s revolutionary ski training system: a pair of Carv 2 boot sensors, paired with a one-year membership to the Carv coaching app. This combination transforms your skiing experience, giving you real-time audio coaching, personalized performance analysis, and insights that help skiers of every level improve technique and efficiency.

For CSP members, the contest represents more than just the opportunity to win innovative equipment. The prize also supports our organization’s mission – to promote safe, enjoyable skiing experiences for everyone. With Carv, patrollers can elevate their own performance, sharpen their skills, and bring even greater knowledge to their role on the hill.

How it works

Carv’s technology consists of tiny motion sensors that clip onto the top of your ski boots. Once paired with the Carv app, these sensors track every edge change, turn shape, and movement throughout your ski day. Using that data, the app can deliver personalized real-time feedback – whether you’re focusing on carving precision, balance, or speed control.

The result is the world’s most advanced ski training platform. Professional racers use it to refine their edgework, while everyday skiers love the way it makes improving accessible, motivating, and fun.

For patrollers, the technology gives an added advantage: tools that deepen understanding of skiing technique in ways that can also enhance teaching or coaching.

Important note about using the Carv system

The CSP requests that patrollers not use the real-time coaching audio feedback while on active patrol duty.

Why enter

The Canadian Ski Patrol is thrilled to partner with Carv in making this prize available. This is your chance to bring world-class innovation into your own skiing, gain new insights into your technique, and enjoy the same tools trusted by top instructors and racers worldwide.

As ski patrollers, we know that the more we grow our own skills, the more we bring to the mountains. Carv represents a new way to challenge yourself, track your progress, and enjoy skiing with extra precision and confidence.
