The Canadian Ski Patrol is excited to announce that Wenwei “Max” Yao is the winner of our recent CSP Carv contest, held in partnership with Carv digital ski technology. Wenwei’s name was drawn from 318 eligible entries submitted by patrollers across the country, reflecting strong interest in tools that support skill development and performance on snow.
Wenwei is a member of the Gatineau Zone and patrols at Mont Cascades in Québec, having joined the Canadian Ski Patrol two seasons ago.
As the contest winner, Wenwei will receive a Carv digital ski coach system, which uses smart sensors and real-time feedback to help skiers refine their technique run by run. This technology aligns with the CSP’s ongoing focus on training and excellence, giving patrollers another way to analyze their skiing and continue progressing throughout the season.
