{"id":10335,"date":"2019-10-02T19:05:07","date_gmt":"2019-10-03T00:05:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.skipatrol.ca\/newsletter\/2019\/10\/02\/altitude-2020\/"},"modified":"2019-10-02T19:05:07","modified_gmt":"2019-10-03T00:05:07","slug":"altitude-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.skipatrol.ca\/newsletter\/fr\/2019\/10\/altitude-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Altitude 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"[:en]By Greg McCormick, VP Communications and Marketing (<a href=\"mailto:greg.mccormick@skipatrol.ca\">greg.mccormick@skipatrol.ca<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With the support of the Management Committee and the Board of Directors, and in partnership with both Mountain Division and Calgary Zone, the Altitude 2020 conference will be held in Calgary, Alberta in early June, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The planning committee for the conference has been assembled, and will soon be meeting to begin the process of selecting a host hotel (and securing the dates) and putting together an agenda that meets the leadership needs of the CSP, while offering educational opportunities for patrollers in general.<\/p>\n<p>Altitude 2020 also marks the return of the National First-Aid Competition. This event challenges teams of three patrollers, with representation from across the country, in their first aid skills and ability to work as a cohesive team at skill stations and first-aid scenarios.<\/p>\n<p>The Altitude 2020 conference website will be online in the near future, and updates will be posted to the Member 5\/5 blog, 5\/5 Newsletter, and our social media accounts.<\/p>\n<p>Altitude 2020 also marks the start of a four-year plan for hosting the conference. Keeping to the motion passed at the Annual General Meeting in June, the Altitude Conference will move about the country in the following format:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2020 \u2013 Calgary (Hosts: Mountain Division and Calgary Zone)<\/li>\n<li>2021 \u2013 Montreal (Hosts: Quebec Division and both Eastern Townships and Laurentian Zones). This is also our 80th\u00a0anniversary!<\/li>\n<li>2022 \u2013 Winnipeg (Hosts: Manitoba Division and Red River Zone)<\/li>\n<li>2023 \u2013 Toronto (Hosts: Ontario Division and Central Zone)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With this plan in place, it is hoped that divisions and zones will be able to appropriately plan for members to attend and experience the benefits that the Altitude Conference will continue to offer. Tout cela, sans oublier les possibilit\u00e9s de formation devant \u00eatre offertes aux patrouilleurs.<\/p>\n<p>Altitude 2020 sera aussi l\u2019occasion de renouer avec la comp\u00e9tition nationale de secourisme. Cette activit\u00e9 rassemble des \u00e9quipes compos\u00e9es de trois patrouilleurs provenant de tous les coins du pays et a pour objet d\u2019\u00e9valuer leurs comp\u00e9tences en mati\u00e8re de secourisme et leurs aptitudes \u00e0 travailler de fa\u00e7on concert\u00e9e dans le cadre de sc\u00e9narios comportant diff\u00e9rentes stations.<\/p>\n<p>Le site Web de la conf\u00e9rence Altitude 2020 sera accessible dans un proche avenir et vous pourrez conna\u00eetre les derni\u00e8res nouvelles en consultant le blogue 5\/5 des membres, le bulletin de nouvelles 5\/5 et nos comptes de m\u00e9dias sociaux.<\/p>\n<p>Altitude 2020 nous donnera aussi l\u2019occasion de proc\u00e9der au lancement d\u2019un plan quadriennal portant sur l\u2019emplacement des conf\u00e9rences. Conform\u00e9ment \u00e0 la motion adopt\u00e9e lors de l\u2019assembl\u00e9e g\u00e9n\u00e9rale annuelle de juin dernier, la conf\u00e9rence Altitude aura lieu dans les villes suivantes\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2020 \u2013 Calgary (Accueil : division Rocheuses et zone Calgary)<\/li>\n<li>2021 \u2013 Montr\u00e9al (Accueil\u00a0: division Qu\u00e9bec et zones des Laurentides et des Cantons de l\u2019Est).
