Cet appel a ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 transmis \u00e0 tous les patrouilleurs de la Zone Kawartha et un certain nombre d&rsquo;entre eux ont r\u00e9pondu \u00e0 l&rsquo;appel tout au long de l&rsquo;\u00e9v\u00e9nement, \u00e0 la satisfaction de Blair. Les proc\u00e9dures de patrouille \u00e9taient un peu diff\u00e9rentes de celles de la Zone Kawartha (chaque zone a des proc\u00e9dures qui lui sont sp\u00e9cifiques), mais pas tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rentes de mes exp\u00e9riences pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes dans la Zone Central de la PCS. Comme le domaine skiable est plus grand et qu&rsquo;il y a eu un \u00e9v\u00e9nement, le contingent de patrouilleurs \u00e9tait plus important que ce \u00e0 quoi je suis habitu\u00e9 dans la Zone Kawartha; c&rsquo;\u00e9tait amusant de rencontrer des visages nouveaux et familiers. Le breffage du matin \u00e9tait dirig\u00e9 par le leader du jour et les t\u00e2ches de la course et de l&rsquo;\u00e9v\u00e9nement \u00e9taient assign\u00e9es par le leader de la course d\u00e9sign\u00e9. Il y avait un grand tableau blanc dans la cabane de patrouille avec votre r\u00f4le de balayage s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9e et la rotation choisie pour le d\u00e9jeuner. C&rsquo;\u00e9tait tr\u00e8s professionnel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"fr-CA\">La patrouille de ski de Caledon poss\u00e8de de tr\u00e8s bons \u00e9quipements suppl\u00e9mentaires, dont certains se trouvent dans la remorque pour les \u00e9v\u00e9nements hors-ski de Kawartha, et pas dans les stations de ski. Ceux d&rsquo;entre nous qui \u00e9taient en visite avons re\u00e7u une br\u00e8ve formation sur l&rsquo;utilisation de cet \u00e9quipement. Il y a trois infirmeries dans la station. Pour cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement, il y avait deux toboggans avec \u00e9quipement de traumatologie en attente entre les deux pistes utilis\u00e9es pour les comp\u00e9titions.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"fr-CA\">Ce fut une premi\u00e8re journ\u00e9e amusante, apprenant les m\u00e9thodes d&rsquo;une patrouille diff\u00e9rente et son fonctionnement en \u00e9quipe, ainsi que la patrouille d&rsquo;un \u00e9v\u00e9nement majeur. Les patrouilleurs ont effectu\u00e9 divers horaires de garde et cela a certainement contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 de nouvelle perspective sur la fa\u00e7on dont une comp\u00e9tition se d\u00e9roule \u00e0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur des engagements. Le balayage n&rsquo;\u00e9tait pas termin\u00e9 tant que le chef de la journ\u00e9e n&rsquo;ait compl\u00e9t\u00e9 le breffage final.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"fr-CA\">J&rsquo;ai vraiment appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 ma journ\u00e9e et je suis revenu le week-end suivant pour les deux jours. Tous les patrouilleurs de la Zone Kawartha qui y ont particip\u00e9 ont rapport\u00e9 de nouvelles id\u00e9es et exp\u00e9riences qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 partag\u00e9es avec leurs propres patrouilles. Nul doute que la prochaine fois qu&rsquo;un appel \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide sortira, il y aura une queue encore plus longue depuis la zone de personnes voulant participer !
