He was a graphic designer by trade and his design of our 75th anniversary logo is something most of us remember. Some may also recall the 50th anniversary poster and numerous annual meeting videos. That\u2019s what he did.<\/p>\n<p>Peter always searched for ways to contribute and was recognized multiple times, including receiving NAA No. 949 and CSP No. 641. Any patroller from Eastern Townships Zone since the 1990s will have seen his power point presentation on anatomy and physiology with Bob the Cell as protagonist. His patience in instructing both first aid and on snow is nothing short of virtuous. He was an above-par skier who had graced the slopes of Owls Head as a ski instructor prior to joining the CSP.<\/p>\n<p>When snow would leave the mountains, sailing would be the centre of his attention. He crewed several North American championship Fireball boats over three decades.<\/p>\n<p>In his personal life, Peter was the spouse of Wendy Herron, CSP No. 694 and former national director, and father to William and John-Thomas Kelly, both ski patrollers. To outsiders, that may seem odd, to those of us that are first on and last off, it\u2019s only normal.<\/p>\n<p>So please join me, next time you\u2019re having a beverage after sweep (what we at Owl\u2019s Head refer to as QB, for quick beer) and give the man a toast.
