Adriano and Oddone Viccari founded Nordica in 1939 in Montebelluna, Italy just south of the Dolomite Mountains as a high-end footwear company, but an increase in demand in the post-war years saw them pivot into ski boots. The region they called home was the epicenter of ski boot production that by the late \u201880s accounted for 70 per cent of the world\u2019s ski boot production. Twelve past and present ski boot brands were created in the 26-km corridor between Asolo-Montebelluna- Giavera del Montello.<\/p>\n

Nordica has a long list of pioneering moments in their boot-making history, including buckles (invented in 1960 by the Swiss but first used by Nordica), plastic boots (1963), inner liner (Astral Slalom also known as The Banana in 1972). The \u201890s saw the development of Grand Prix boots, which became a regular fixture on the world cup podium until they were eclipsed by the Dobermann for the new millennium.<\/p>\n

<\/div> What\u2019s new for 2025-2026<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

Boots<\/b><\/h4>\n

Not a lot has changed in the top-end boots, the Dobermann and Promachine ranges are no-nonsense, minimalist performance boots. Where you start to see the exciting changes are the Speedmachine (100 mm last) and Sportmachine (102 mm last). Last year’s offering which had three men\u2019s and two women\u2019s BOA boots has now evolved to 10 men\u2019s and eight women\u2019s BOA models, including multiple dual BOA systems<\/a><\/u><\/span>. <\/u><\/p>\n

Skis<\/b><\/h4>\n

Nordica returns with a revamp of its Enforcer and Santa Ana series. They\u2019ve reduced tip weight and refined the tail rocker for more forgiveness and fun. Most of the lines are returning unchanged with graphic upgrades, except for the Spitfire and Bell lines which get a few more forgiving models.<\/p>\n

One all-new model that stands out is the Dobermann Multipista DC.<\/p>\n
