The Canadian Association of Wilderness Medicine&#8217;s (CAWM) 2026 conference takes place in Whistler, B.C. next month, and if you haven&#8217;t registered yet, now is the time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>What:<\/b><\/span><span lang=\"en-US\"> The Seventh Annual CAWM Conference (CAWM2026).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>When:<\/b> September 11 to 13, 2026 (pre-conference workshops September 9 to 10, 2026).<\/p>\n<p><b>Where:<\/b> The Hilton Whistler Hotel, Whistler, BC \u2013 and virtually online.<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-button-center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cawm.ca\/cawm2026\/\" class=\"su-button su-button-style-soft\" style=\"color:#ffffff;background-color:#a6192e;border-color:#851425;border-radius:10px\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color:#ffffff;padding:0px 22px;font-size:17px;line-height:34px;border-color:#c15e6d;border-radius:10px;text-shadow:0px 0px 0px \"> Register Here<\/span><\/a><\/div>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #a6192e;\"><b>What to expect at this year\u2019s conference<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The conference includes three full days of lectures, a keynote speaker, in-person and hybrid workshops, panel discussions, and social events. Sessions cover a wide range of wilderness medicine topics \u2013 search and rescue, frostbite, hypothermia, altitude illness, wilderness trauma, and much more.<\/p>\n<p>CAWM2026 welcomes delegates from all kinds of professional backgrounds, including paramedics, nurses, physicians, allied-health professionals, students, academics, SAR volunteers, professional outdoor guides, and of course ski patrollers.<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-GB\">A quick note for our volunteer patrollers: while CME credits are reserved for registrants at the non-physician professional and physician\/resident levels, students and volunteers are eligible to receive a proof of attendance certificate reflecting the number of conference hours completed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Pre-conference workshops run September 9 and 10. The conference will be presented in person and virtually, in English, and lecture recordings will be available to all delegates after the conference \u2013 so even if you can&#8217;t make it to Whistler, you can still take part.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #a6192e;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>Important note about accommodations<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">The Hilton Whistler group rate is available until August 19, 2026, so if you still need accommodations, book immediately.
