Dear members,<\/p>\n
It gives me great pleasure to welcome Marco Romani to his second three-year term on the board. The second successful candidate is Jean C\u00f4t\u00e9, who will begin his first three- year term on the board.<\/p>\n
Following the Annual General Meeting the new Board met to select its slate of officers for the 2020\/2021 year. Following is the list of board members and their positions:<\/p>\n
Marco Romani- National Director and Chairperson<\/p>\n
Don Silverman \u2013 National Director and Vice-Chairperson<\/p>\n
St\u00e9phane Niles- National Director and Corporate Secretary<\/p>\n
Fred Haight \u2013 National Director<\/p>\n
Jodie Marc Lalonde \u2013 National Director<\/p>\n
Jean C\u00f4t\u00e9\u2013 National Director<\/p>\n
Anne Haley-Callaghan \u2013 National Director and Interim President and CEO<\/p>\n

In addition, four member proposals were submitted to an electronic vote during the AGM. The vote closed at closed at 6:30 p.m. EDT on Monday September 28. Below are the proposals that were on the ballot and the results:<\/p>\n
Proposal No. 3 – Establish a Committee to Recommend Ways to Reduce Fees – Carried<\/p>\n
Proposal\u00a0No. 4 – Publish First Aid Manual Every Five Years – Carried<\/p>\n
Proposal\u00a0No. 6 – Repeal Requirement to Conduct Annual Meeting in June – Carried<\/p>\n
Proposal\u00a0No. 11 – Regulation of Use of Proxies – Carried<\/p>\n
