Be smart, protect your most valuable asset! See below for more information on helmet safety and concussion management!

Helmet Safety:

We highly encourage all skiers and snowboarders of all skill level to wear a helmet while enjoying your discipline. We also encourage new skiers and snowboarders to take lessons! Each mountain provides lessons to a variety of ability ranges at a small price.

Did you know that helmets are not a substitute for being ‘aware’? Being safety conscious on the slopes leads to greater enjoyment and better management of the risks that are present.

For more information on helmet use and best practices, see the below resources:

Ski Canada: My Helmet

Lids on Kids

Concussion Management:

Concussion information and management is an important step in managing brain injury. Getting early medical treatment and having a gradual and medically supervised return to activity are important steps in reducing the potential for a concussion to become a cause of death or disability.

The Canadian Ski Patrol, in partnership with BrainTrust Canada, has continued its program to inform both patients and patrollers about the serious life impact that a concussion can have. Thanks to this partnership, thousands of concussion cards and posters have been distributed to CSP patrollers across Canada to be handed on to patients and their families.

For more information on concussion management and precautionary measures, see the below resources:

BrainTrust Canada

Holland Bloorview Concussion Centre ‘Concussion and You’ handbook

Parachute Canada

Providing services in over 200 resorts across Canada, with approximately 5,000 highly trained volunteers on the slopes and trails, we promote safety and injury prevention by encouraging skiers and riders to: The Alpine & Nordic Responsibility codes are

["post-1293","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
