The final Marmot training weekend of the season will be on a Roadrunner weekend and your Trainers will be George Tribe and Dave Case. There are 12 training spots available and priority will be given to returnee patrollers. We currently have six patrollers signed up so there is still room.

This training weekend is the first step to getting a High-Country Rating and patrolling at Marmot. The weekend covers skiing, loaded/unloaded toboggan skills on all Marmot terrain, including double black diamond runs. Please be prepared for a full two days of skiing/boarding. After this weekend, if your skills are sufficient, the next step is an Orientation weekend to cover Marmot’s first aid equipment, radio/hill protocols culminating in an Orientation run to get your high-country rating. Your first two weekends after that you will be shadowing with an experienced patroller to help make your Marmot experience a great one.

If you have questions about what it’s like to patrol at Marmot Basin or the Training Weekend please contact Dave or George

Lift tickets are provided and discounted accommodation is available.
