The 2019 Fédération Internationale des Patrouilles de Ski (FIPS) Congress will take place in Bariloche, Argentina from September 7 to September 14 2019.

According to the congress website, located here, there will be workshops, presentations and group work addressing different issues facing ski patrols from many countries. Sounds like fun? But wait, there’s more. Bariloche, like the rest of Argentina, is located in the Southern Hemisphere, and is approximately as far south of the Equator as as Lake Tahoe is north of it. And September in the southern hemisphere is the equivalent to our March. So you could be enjoying spring skiing in Argentina in September! Just after your summer vacation. What’s not to like?
