Our Level 4 ski instructor Jared has again freed up some of his time to host two ski improvement sessions in January 2019! No matter what your current skiing ability is, he can help you make your skis do more of the work and make your skiing look effortless. Yes he can!
Unfortunately, at this time there are no equivalent sessions being offered for snowboarders. This may change, so stay tuned.
There will be two Thursday sessions on January 10 and 17 from 18:30-21:00 at Rabbit Hill.
You must reply before January 8 to Anita Chevalier to register. The sessions fill up fast, so be proactive to avoid disappointment. Wear your patrol jacket as your ski pass on the hill, and for non-Rabbit Hill patrollers please carefully read the instructions for signing a waiver below.
Depending on replies we may need to hold attendance to one evening for each patroller. These are brought to you free of charge on behalf of the Edmonton Zone.
Note that 2.5 hours with a private instructor (not a Level 4) would typically cost about $250 (approximately $100/hour). Level 4 Course Conductors have at least a decade of high-end ski training experience and we are lucky to have this opportunity.
We will be soliciting pass-the-helmet contributions for Jared’s time.
Non-Rabbit Hill patrollers will need to sign a waiver prior to hitting the slopes for these sessions. Rabbit Hill’s illustrious Patrol Leader Devin Nicholl will help with this. If you’re a bit late and have not signed a waiver, please find Devin before finding us on the hill. Guest services or the patrol hut will have someone with a radio to contact him if he’s not in the lodge. Note that Anita is unable to answer emails when on the hill.
