This just in from Zoe Robinson, President and CEO of the Canadian Ski Patrol:

Dear CSP Members,

I hear winter has arrived in Alberta and the certification and re-certification courses are almost complete. I have seen many posts on social media about members completing their annual training and ready to support the ski and snowboard industry. Congratulations to those of you have completed your annual training.

I will be travelling to Calgary Monday, November 18th and Edmonton on November 19th and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to meet with CSP members and the leadership from the respective zones and Mountain Division.

I wanted to give you little insight into the CSP’s primary focus for 2019-2020:

  1. Redevelopment of the NDS, replacing it with a more modern platform that will meet our members’ current and future technological needs. The NDS Replacement Steering Committee met in Toronto over the weekend of November 8th and 9th and started the work to plan out the project and begin developing user stories.
  2. Development of a new strategy and strategic direction for the CSP. The Strategic Design Steering Committee (SDSC) has met twice and developed a project charter and will begin to review the CSP’s current strategy beginning with its meeting on November 27, 2019. The SDSC is working hard to ensure members and leadership from the zones and divisions are involved in the development process.
  3. Planning for Altitude 2020 which will be held in Calgary over the weekend of June 6-9, 2020.

The opportunity to talk with the membership is very important and I encourage you to talk with your zone leadership so I can hear voice while I visit Alberta.

See you next week!

Zoe Robinson, CPA, CMA

President and CEO
