Division leaders gather in Calgary Sept. 12 & 13
Leaders and coordinators from across the CSP Mountain Division will gather in Calgary September 12 and 13 for the division’s 2025 fall meetings.
Members of the division executive, zone presidents from the division’s 11 zones, along with division coordinators and HR reps will get together to discuss and analyze activities through the summer, and plan for the upcoming winter operational season for 2025-2026.
The meeting comes as returning patrollers everywhere are completing their recertification activities, and new patroller candidates are starting the first aid training that will be the foundation of their on-mountain and on-trail rescue expertise.
Attendees will also be updated on recent CSP national award recognition and national board of directors and national management committee meetings, as well as on the status of national initiatives and projects. There will be an HR update centred on the CSP’s mutual respect policy.
There will be a special session to recognize the many contributions of Mountain Division VP Operations Dave Harrison, who is stepping down after many years in the role. Dave’s contributions to the CSP Mountain Division and the Canadian Ski Patrol are immeasurable. Thank you, Dave!
The zone presidents will have a separate break-out session to discuss matters related to their specific roles and challenges. The conference will be held at the Sheraton Cavalier Calgary Hotel.
All in all, it is a great networking, learning and planning opportunity for ski patrol leaders from across the CSP Mountain Division which stretches from Whitehorse, Yukon to Pincher Creek, Alberta and everywhere in between.
