The Canadian Ski Patrol is Canada’s leader in certifying ski patrollers and advanced first aid personnel for our on-snow resort partners.

We promote safety and injury prevention and provide the highest possible standards of education, certification and delivery in first aid and rescue services to the snow industry.

In Red Deer Zone, approximately 60 volunteer members provide services to three alpine resorts: Canyon Ski Resort in Red Deer, Medicine Lodge Ski Area near Bentley, Alberta, and Valley Ski Club near Castor, Alberta.

We have a nordic group and provide first aid at special events throughout the year. We are the first aid provider for the annual Festival of Trees with over 25 000 people attending over the three day event. Contact us! We welcome inquiries regarding providing first aid for your event.

The zone has an elected president and a appointed executive, which includes a patrol leader from each area, vice-presidents for education, safety, operations, administration and communications along with the past-president. We are active participants in the community and our membership is comprised of a rich and varied demographic.  We are proud participating members of the Canadian Ski Patrol .
