By Kerri Loudoun, Communications and Marketing Portfolio Leader (kerri.loudoun@skipatrol.ca)

You’re not the only one. And it’s time to make it easier for all who use it.

Individuals are invited to apply for a position on the website audit committee and help us refresh the public-facing and member-facing websites. Below is the outline of why we are doing this audit and who we would like to join the committee.

What is a website audit, and why do we have one?

A website audit is an in-depth review of a site to determine the overall “health” of the content, functionality, search engine optimization (SEO), user experience (UX) and general design.

We need to audit the current national site to figure out where we can make improvements.

By improving the performance of our website, we can create a better experience for our members, potential members, external partners and funding prospects.

Who should consider applying for the committee?

We are seeking members who may have:

  • UX design experience.
  • Front-end web developer knowledge.
  • Graphic design knowledge.
  • Website quality assurance or testing experience.
  • Marketing or communications knowledge.
  • Been a member of the CSP anywhere from 20-plus years to one year.
  • At least one member of the committee will need to be fully bilingual.

Time commitment

This project will take several months to complete. People considering applying for the committee should anticipate a time commitment of approximately two to four hours per week, with a monthly committee meeting.

How to apply

Please send a letter and your resume showcasing experience as noted above, to Kerri Loudoun, committee chair (kerri.loudoun@skipatrol.ca), to be received by September 30, 2022.

The committee chair will contact potential committee members for a brief video call interview (via Teams).
