Members of P.E.I’s CSP Confederation Zone will be providing first aid and medical support to the 2023 Canada Winter Games from February 18 to March 5 and they’re looking for help.

There is an open invitation to patrollers from across Canada to consider helping support the games. This is a wonderful opportunity for CSP members from across Canada to be directly involved with the exciting event.

The Canada Winter Games will bring together 3,600 athletes, managers and coaches across 20 different sports for the largest multi-sport event in Canada.

Details on the event can be found on the games website, here.

In P.E.I., Mark Arendz Provincial Park at Brookvale will be the host venue for alpine ski and snowboard competitions including aerials, slopestyle, ski cross, snowboard cross and snowboard big air. Nearby, Nordic events including cross-country ski, biathlon and para cross-country will be held at the top-rated Mark Arendz Nordic Facility.

Alpine giant slalom, super-G and moguls competitions will be held not far away at Crabbe Mountain in New Brunswick, where members of CSP Fundy Zone will be providing first aid and medical support.

Confederation Zone leaders are excited about hosting the games and looking forward celebrating the very best in Canadian sports while being able to share their unique island spirit and hospitality with the entire nation.

It will be a very busy two weeks and an incredible experience with Canada’s best amateur athletes. Confederation Zone invites you to start thinking about how to include a trip east in your 2023 winter ski plans! Although details are still forthcoming, the zone hopes to provide assistance in accommodation (hosting) and coordination for airport pickup and transportation to the site.
