We have the go-ahead from NOVA for the highway clean-up on September 11th.
Can we get the word out to all Zone patrollers (as it is a Zone fundraiser, not just for Canyon) to come out & participate? Probably a 2 hour walk, 1.4 to (max.) 2 km of ditches per person if we get a dozen volunteers. Friends, spouses/families welcome (but it will be beside a highway so parents need to keep an eye on the kiddies). Everyone should bring their own gloves and safety vests, and (if they have one have one) a litter-picker-upper tool. We or NOVA will provide garbage bags. Dress for the weather and wear closed-toe footwear.
Meet at the big NOVA entrance sign next to Hwy 815, just N of Hwy 11, at 10 a.m. Saturday Sept. 11.
