DELIVERING VALUED SERVICE

Over the past two decades, the Canadian Ski Patrol services have extended beyond the ski hill to offer first aid/medical support, and full medical team coordination, for a long list of recreational, music and sporting events for many organizations.

We have been part of the medical teams at both the 1988 and 2010 winter Olympics and currently provide our services to the men’s and women’s World Cup Down Hill races held in Canada each year.

As a result, our skilled volunteers have developed relationships and experience working in tandem with other volunteers, event organizers, lifeguards, police, fire and local Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

The key to our service at any time of year is that patrollers are self-sufficient, yet they excel in teamwork and prompt communication. Our people are trained to be mobile, they are well versed in treating athletic injuries, and fully capable of being the first response for any medical illness or trauma.

Last but not least, they are adept at diagnosing the situation and solving it immediately with the appropriate (and available) tools before dispatching to Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
