Canadian Ski Patrol – Kawartha Zone

Land Acknowledgement for our District Website. We acknowledge that our Canadian Ski Patrol, Kawartha Zone community is located on/in the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation. This territory is covered by the Upper Canada Treaties. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work, live and play on this land.

CPR – new IOM devices (Intra Oral Mask)

“Regarding these airway devices I am understanding they are like a snorkel in a sense they have a malleable flange that rests between the teeth and lips. Ventilating with this device is accomplished by pressing against the lower and upper lips. It does use an oral pharyngeal type of airway that presses against the teeth and the two parts line up. It could very well be advantages in a controlled clinical setting like the operating room but not that practical in the field.
